Hark, a playlist!
What is a Friday feeling? At various times in my life, it was the anticipation of staying up late with a friend and consuming questionably crafted mixed drinks in childhood bedrooms; at other times it was crop tops and Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz era. For a period of time thereafter, it was year-round dive bars on Martha’s Vineyard. Now, it’s a lot of porch-hanging and planning garden projects. But even more often, it’s an amalgamation of all Friday feelings that have come before. Still, it is anticipation.
But I think what remains truest of all is that Fridays can come any day of the week. Here is how we think they feel in May.
